The Uganda travel Month is an exceptional Domestic Tourism Initiative, a brainchild of the Pearl Guide Uganda, a local tourism marketing firm comes back for its second edition from 30th September to 22nd October 2017.
The first edition was started in September 2016, and the second edition was launched at a ceremony conducted at Prunes Restaurant where several guests walked away with a Uganda Travel Month ticket after a raffle draw. So far, the Uganda Travel month is the largest experiential tourism marketing event on the Uganda Calendar and you cannot afford to miss it.
During the Uganda Travel Month, the country’s deprived middle class citizens get the opportunity to tour and experience the treasures that make Uganda, an explored destination globally through a four week circuit that takes large numbers out into the National Parks at exceptional discounted fees.
Usually, this programme seeks to explore Uganda’s top destinations. It is a must try for all Ugandans because the trips are cheap (with fair fees for the activities, park entrance fees, transportation, meals and partying with the best DJs in Uganda) and yet you will enjoy an experience of a lifetime. Four destinations will be visited and they include Jinja, Lake Mburo, Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Parks.
Speaking at the Launch of the second edition of this exciting initiative, Philip Kalibwani pointed that tours will be made to Jinja to explore the Nile first, then spend the Independence weekend in Lake Bunyonyi, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park within Kasese district and end it at Murchison Falls National Park on the 21st October 2017. This is meant to make Ugandans get involved in telling their own tourism story hence promoting domestic tourism. Some of the must-do interesting activities during the Uganda Tourism Month include game drives in the National Parks, water rafting, bungee jumping, zip-lining, launch cruises, Nature walks and partying, to mention but a few.
The interesting thing about the Uganda Tourism Month is that it has a number of sponsors that include Total Excellium, MTN, Radiocity, Marafiki Safaris and Nile Special. Even when it is still new, it will become one of the top and must-attend events in the regional and Continental Calendar by 2018.
All Ugandans are therefore urged to join the trips before tickets sell out. You don’t have to miss the opportunity to discover Uganda through this four week circuit of unforgettable trips that will take groups into the Wild.
Therefore, the Uganda Travel Month is an exceptional domestic tourism initiative that offers Ugandans with the opportunity to explore the beauty of their country. One of the reasons why locals don’t visit the Parks is because of low income levels hence majority of them are left out hence this initiative is meant to fill the gap and allow Ugandans to visit some of the country’s crème del a crème (in terms of attractions) that include Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo National Parks) as well as Jinja (the adventure capital of Uganda to enjoy whitewater rafting, zip-lining and bungee jumping). The second edition of this initiative starts 30th September to 21st October 2017 and is sponsored by Marafiki Safaris, Total Excellium, Radiocity, MTN and Nile Special.
